SEMA, that one word alone is powerful enough to
conjure up images of endless manufacture booths filled
with the latest products. SEMA is a manufacturer
showcase that is held once a year in Las Vegas,
Nevada. Having the show held in Las Vegas makes
perfect sense really! Las Vegas, also know as Sin
City, is a place where you can indulge in the
forbidden pleasures. For most of us, the “car” gene is
one of forbidden pleasure. We spend countless hours
looking for new products and spend our hard earned
paychecks in the latest goodies for our rides. If you
are car nuts, like we are, then SEMA is definitely
something you want to check out.

This year proved to be one of the best shows yet. The
list of manufacturers displaying increased from last
year, and the market seems to be strong through out
all aspects of automotive tuning. What better way to
see the hot and emerging trends then to spend time
with the manufactures that influence the market. Among
some of our favorite booths to frequent were BDL
industries, Scott and the gang are always very helpful
when it comes to engine performance. This year BDL
industries had on display their new k series throttle
body, new line of fuel rails, pulleys, oil caps, and
most impressive was the Subaru fuel set ups. Next on
the list was D2 tuning. D2 has released new coilover
applications of ’06 as well as air jacks that are of a
universal application. Arnell at D2 had explained to
us the size of D2 which spans almost across the globe.
Expect to see more people rocking D2 this year as they
are both affordable and of high quality. Among other
favorites were the Enkei, Tein, Jic, Dunlop, Honda,
and Scion booths. Now that doesn’t mean that the rest
of the show was no good. Oh contraire, in fact we
spent the entire week at SEMA and still didn’t see it
all. The show is so large that it can be overwhelming
at times, but rest assured it’s on our list of events
to go to next year.
